Barbara Anne (Belles) Yepson

Barbara Anne Belles Yepson, 90, of Carbondale, died Saturday December 29th at the Forest City Nursing Center.  She was the wife of Howard A. Yepson; the couple celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary in September.

Born and raised in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Luther S. and Lula Wilson Belles.  She was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, Class of 1945.  She was a member of the Berean Baptist Church, Carbondale.  She was previously employed by Westinghouse Corporation in New Jersey and by Dr. Howard Alexander as a dental assistant.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Forest City Nursing Center for their excellent and compassionate care.

Also surviving are a daughter: Kimberly L. McCarthy and husband Donald P., Carbondale; a granddaughter: Rachel R. McCarthy and fiancé Ryan Sutter, Marietta; a sister: Patricia Wilber, Murrells Inlet, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters: Wilma Mackie, Marion Richards, and Jean Loftus.

As per her request, funeral services will be private with interment in Willow View Cemetery, Clifford.
