Jane Carite Grosel

Jane Carite Grosel, 85, of Forest City and formerly of Carbondale, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hopsital.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Grosel, who died in 1995.

Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Robert and Lela France Tregaskis, she was educated in the Carbondale Schools.  She was a homemaker.  She greatly enjoyed playing Bingo and was the coordinator of the Valley Bingo Bus.

Surviving are a daughter: Linda Bielawski and husband Anthony, Milford; three sons: Francis Carite and wife Donna, Crestview, FL; Paul Carite, Scranton; Dave Grosel, Jr. and wife Cathy, Union Dale; 8 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren; a sister: Edna Simon, Archbald; two brothers: Robert Tregaskis, Jermyn; Gerald Tregaskis, Holly, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother: Charles Tregaskis; and five sisters: Roberta Ditchko, Mae Dennis, Olive Banicott, Genevieve Correll, and Lela Dolph.

The funeral will be Tuesday in the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City with services at 7 pm.  Spring interment will be in Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart.  Friends may call Tuesday, from 4 to 7 pm.
