Lamont Eugene Foreman, 63, of Vandling, died Saturday at home after an illness. He is survived by his wife, Kandy Kane Davis Foreman.
Born in Reading, son of the late Paul and Elizabeth Geezy Foreman, he was a graduate of Reading High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a lifetime member of the VFW Post 5209, Scranton and the American Legion Post 306, Taylor. Before his illness, he was employed as a grounds man at the Lehigh & Hanson Stone Quarry, Lake Ariel.
The family would like to thank the nurses of Traditional Home Health and Hospice and Dr. Matthew Haley and his staff for the outstanding care given to Lamont.
Also surviving are a stepdaughter, Amanda Davis and husband, Dyshon Roach'e, Scranton; three grandchildren, Andrea, Maniya and Kayliana; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Allen, William and Roy Foreman; and a sister, Lynn.
The funeral will be Friday with a blessing service at 5 p.m. in the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main St., Forest City. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 5 p.m.
