Lucinda M. “Cindy” Bramley, 69, of Vandling and one of God’s true angels, passed away peacefully from illness at Geisinger CMC Saturday November 10th while receiving support and love from her husband, family, and friends at her side. She is survived by her husband George Bramley.
Born in Shamokin, daughter of Mary Ellen Supsic Schlagel, Danville; and the late John Schlagel, she was a graduate of Danville High School. Prior to retirement, she proudly worked as a caring CNA for 32 years at Mountain Rest Nursing Home/Linwood Center, Scranton.
Cindy and her husband just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with yet another trip to their favorite location, Myrtle Beach. Her second favorite place to be, her first and foremost favorite place was to be at the side of any of her 14 great grandchildren; the youngest ones affectionately calling her Gah Gah.
Also surviving are a daughter: Kay MacDonald and husband Michael, Simpson; a son: Michael Bramley, Greenfield Twp.; 8 wonderful grandchildren: Samantha, Kaili, Michael, Heather, Jessica, Christina, Cynthia, and Justina; 14 great grandchildren; two sisters: Eva Baylor and Rose Cook both of Danville, and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers: John, Bill, and Perry; and a daughter-in-law: Danielle Bramley.
The funeral will be Monday December 3rd in the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City, with services at 1:30 pm. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon to 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
