Mary Lorraine Skelly, formerly of Simpson and Daytona Beach Shores, Fla., died Monday at the house of her daughter in Dayton, N.J. She was the widow of Louis "Jack" Skelly Jr., who died Aug. 9, 2016.
Born in Simpson, daughter of the late Grant and Mary Newcomb Bishop, she was a graduate of Fell High School class of 1943. Before retirement, she was employed in the coin deposit department of the National State Bank, Elizabeth, N.J.
Surviving are three daughters, Gail Schmalz, Dayton, N.J., Donna Remenar and husband, Joseph, Sedro-Woolley, Wash.; and Mary Beth Netta, North Brunswick, N.J.; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Judge.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home Inc., 55 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
