Milo S. Perri, 77, of Carbondale, died Tuesday November 27th at Allied Services Hospice, Scranton after a short illness. He was a beloved brother, uncle and godfather.
Born in Carbondale, son of the late Raymond and Anna Kitchura Perri, he attended Carbondale Schools and was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Milo was a sports enthusiast who rarely missed a Carbondale Area football game or basketball game, where he could always be found sitting in the second row behind the Carbondale team. He also enjoyed going to see the Rail Riders baseball games, and cheering for Notre Dame from his apartment or niece Ann Marie's home. He was an avid sports card collector and fisherman, once holding the record in Carbondale for catching the largest perch. He found great joy in the summer months sitting outside his apartment, across from the Carbondale YMCA, waving to people passing, socializing with his friends or waiting for his goddaughter, DeAnna, to pass him on her runs.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers: Santo, George, and Joseph Perri; and two sisters: Eleanor Imperiale and Rose Wallace.
The funeral will be Saturday December 1st in the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale, with a blessing service at 1 pm. Spring Interment will be in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill. Friends may call Saturday, from 12 to 1 pm.
