Allen Russell Canfield, 63, of Carbondale, died Sunday July 2nd surrounded by those he loved, under VA Hospice care, after losing his battle with terminal lung cancer. He is survived by his wife, the former Kim Sinibaldi, and his daughter: Brittany Canfield.
Born in Carbondale, son of Diane Christian Canfield, Forest City, and the late Eugene Canfield, he was the oldest of seven siblings. He was a graduate of Western Wayne High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Prior to his illness, he was employed as a truck driver for the Angelica Healthcare Corporation, Connecticut. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, always supporting his team every Sunday. He was a loving husband, father, and uncle. He enjoyed every holiday at his brother and sister-in-law’s home.
Also surviving are two sisters: Becky and Elaine Canfield; five brothers: Eugene Canfield and wife Linda; Lawrence Canfield; Ronald Canfield and wife Judy; Ray Canfield and wife Lillian; Billy Walters; a brother-in-law: Dan Kilmer; two sisters-in-law: Amber Kilmer; Peggy Sinibaldi and fiancé James Schwalm; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral will be Thursday, July 6th with services at 5:30 pm in the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale. Friends may call on Thursday, from 3 pm until service time.
