Ann M. Judge Connolly, 93, of Carbondale, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24th at the Carbondale Nursing Center. She was the widow of Kenneth J. Connolly, who died in 1984.
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Francis and Jessie Sullivan Judge, she was a member of Saint Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. She was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and attended St. Thomas Business School, Archbald. Prior to her marriage, she was employed by Bell Telephone Co. as a phone operator. Ann was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved life, and she also enjoyed spending time with her many friends, who are too numerous to mention. She shared a special bond with her neighbor and friend Patty Haley.
The family would like to thank Drs. Neil Davis and Matt Haley and the entire staff and nurses of the Carbondale Nursing Center for the compassionate care given to Ann.
Surviving are a daughter: Linda Gardus and husband John, Allentown; a son: Michael Connolly and wife JoAnne, Mayfield; 7 grandchildren: John, III and wife Betsy, Greenport, NY; Scott and wife Erika, Harleysville; Ryan and Kelly, both of Allentown; Kayleigh, Carbondale; and Casey and Emma, both of Mayfield; 3 great grandchildren: Weston, Griffin, and Delilah, with a fourth due in a few weeks. She was also preceded in death by her daughter: Gail Connolly; and a grandson: Ty Connolly.
The funeral will be Friday, September 29th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Interment will follow at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill. Friends may call at the church from 9 am until mass time. Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
