Ann Prince Obituary

Ann Prince, 76, of Carbondale, died Thursday October 13th at the Forest City Nursing Center.  She was the widow of Franklin W. Prince, who died September 17, 2001.

Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Raymond P. and Louise Mannion Scanlon, she was a member of Saint Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale.   She was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale.

Surviving are a son: Timothy Prince and wife Barbara, Castle Rock, CO; two daughters; Gretchen Jones and husband Rick, Carbondale; Mary Lynn George, Scott Twp.; five grandchildren: Kimberly, Ricky, and Kyle Jones; Timothy and Amelia Prince; and several nieces and nephews including P.J. Scanlon and wife Tracy, Olyphant.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Robert, Eugene, and Patrick Scanlon; and two sisters: Mary Lou Scanlon; and Joan Contratto.
As per her request, private funeral services were held with interment in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.  Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
