Anne Moylan Price, 94, of Carbondale, died Monday October 7th at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. She was the widow of Robert F. Price, who died in 1996.
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Edward and Sarah Mannion Moylan, she was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Carbondale. She was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Nettie Waible Dress Shoppe, Carbondale. Anne was a very talented seamstress, making numerous suits, wedding gowns and dresses during her career; as well as performing alterations. She was a former member of the Carbondale Women’s Club and was an avid bowler, bowling in a local league. She enjoyed baking with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, always being sure to send them home with sweets after a visit.
The family would like to thank Dr. Neal Davis and his staff, as well as the staff at the Carbondale Nursing Center for the kindness they showed to Anne during her brief stay there.
Surviving are a daughter: Barbara Quinn and husband Larry, Carbondale; three grandchildren: Meghan Durkin and husband Mark and Keefe Quinn and wife Ashley, all of Carbondale; Robert Hamilton, Shavertown; three great grandchildren: Shaelyn and Aislynn Durkin; Jackson Hawkins; and Rori Quinn; two sisters: Alice Mang and Patricia Neary, both of Carbondale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law; Kathi Hamilton and her husband Robert Hamilton; two brothers: Ted and James Moylan; and a sister: Mary O’Millian.
The funeral will be Friday, October 11th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Interment will follow in Valley View Memorial Park, Montdale. Friends may call Thursday from 3 to 6 pm at the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale and on Friday morning at the church from 9am until mass time.
