Barbara A. Cleary

Barbara A. Cleary, 88, of Southbury, CT, died Sunday October 29th at the Danbury Hospital, Danbury, CT.  She was the widow of Francis Joseph “Frank” Cleary, who died February 2, 2006.

Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Harold and Mae Weidner Dougher, she was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Southbury.  She was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High and the St. Joseph’s School of Nursing, both of Carbondale.  

Surviving are two sons: Michael Cleary and wife Susan,  Bethel, CT; Peter Cleary and wife Shoshanna, Yorktown Heights, NY; and  four grandchildren: Noah, Madison, Sophie, and Colin.

She was also preceded in death by a son: John Patrick Cleary, who died in 1965.

The funeral will be Friday, November 3rd, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 N. Church St., Carbondale.  Interment will follow at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.  Friends may call at the church from 9 am until mass time.  Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
