Belva Marie Long, 81, of Honesdale, died Friday May 1st at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem. She was the widow of Gerald R. Long.
Born in Hancock, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Beatrice Todd Buchanan. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the Endicott-Johnson Shoe Factory, Forest City.
Surviving are three sons: Raymond Long, Philadelphia; Michael Long and wife Kim, Orange City, FL; Richard Long and wife Christine, Quakertown; two brothers: Cecil Buchanan and wife Lela, New Milford; Floyd “Doc” Buchanan and wife Linda, Pleasant Mount; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Beatrice Sue Allison.
Graveside services will be held Thursday May 7th at 2pm in Union Dale Cemetery. Arrangements by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
