Bernice Doyle Obituary

Bernice Lucretia Doyle, 91, passed away on Wednesday August 4, 2021 at home with her daughter at her side.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Emory Doyle.

Born in Lake Como, PA, daughter of the late Leonard and Mabel Owens Hempstead, she was a member of the Orson Methodist Church, and later a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lakeland upon moving to Florida.  She loved gardening, baking, flowers, birds, and golfing, as well as spending time with family.  In 1947, Bernice married her soul mate, Emory Doyle.  They celebrated 70 years together before his death in 2018.

Surviving are her daughter: Bonnie Odro (Marvin); three grandchildren: Daniel Ittleman; Michael Ittleman (Francesca); Beth Brimer (Chris); and six great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a grandson: David Ittleman; and four brothers: Willard, Gerow, Earl, and Everett.

The funeral will be Saturday August 14th in the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City, with services at 1 pm.  Interment will follow in Wheeler Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Mount.  Friends may call Saturday, from 12 Noon until service time.
