Bruce Allen Williams, 71, of Carbondale, died Saturday October 2nd at Geisinger CMC, Scranton.
Born in Carbondale, son of the late William and Esther Perry Williams, he was a member of the Berean Baptist Church, Carbondale. He was a graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. He was a US Army veteran. Prior to retirement, he was employed in facilities maintenance at several facilities, including at Wal-Mart, where he worked for over 30 years. Bruce was well known for his great love of Elvis. He would perform as “The King” at parties throughout the up-valley. Bruce greatly enjoyed attending Carbondale Area Chargers Basketball games. He was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Surviving are a niece: Nicole Puza and husband Joseph, Carbondale; and two nephews: Ronald and John Williams.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Ronald and William Williams; and a sister: Judith Fisher.
The funeral will be Friday, in the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale, with services at 6:30 pm by Pastor Deborah Loessy. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Willow View Cemetery, Clifford. Friends may call Friday, from 5 to 7 pm.
