Carl Phillip Decker, 65, of South Gibson, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 2nd, surrounded by his loving family and in the care of Traditional Home Health Hospice.
He shared nearly 50 years with his beloved wife, Joyce Ann (Baldwin), and was a proud father of three. Carl was known for his strong work ethic, skilled craftsmanship, and love of the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, traveling-especially to the Adirondacks and National Parks as well as fishing, canoeing, and playing cards.
He is also survived by his daughter: Sabrina Serniak-Brown (John) of Deposit, NY, with grandchildren David, Kathryn, Rory, and Ireland Shea; his son: Jonathan Serniak of South Gibson, PA, with granddaughter Alexandra; and his son: Brandon Decker of Honolulu, HI. He is also survived by close family: Donald Wilson, Pamela Bernardoni, Mike Valentine, and Phattaphon Sukchaem.
The funeral will be Friday May 8th with services at 1 pm in the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale, to be celebrated by Paul Leonard and Carol Burti. Friends may call from 11 am until service time.
