Carla Mussari Suchniak, 64, of Carbondale, died Wednesday May 24th at the Carbondale Nursing Center after a brief illness.

Born in Jermyn, daughter of the late Joseph and Teresa Bianco Mussari, she was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale.  She was a graduate of St. Rose High School, Class of 1976. Carla was retired from Weis Markets, Carbondale, after 20 years of service.  She enjoyed talking with her family and friends on the phone, sitting on the porch, and doing crossword puzzles every day.  She treasured her daughter most of all.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center for their compassionate care.

Surviving are a daughter, Jessica, at home; two sisters: Frances Quinn and JoAnn Mussari Rockwell and husband Dan, all of Carbondale; two brothers: Joseph Mussari, Jermyn; and Anthony Mussari, Mayfield; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Julie Mussari.

The funeral will be Wednesday May 31st with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale.  Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.  Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 6 pm at the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale.  All those attending the funeral on Wednesday are asked to go directly to the church.
