Carol Ann Gilliotti, 78, of Carbondale, died Tuesday August 15th at home. She was the widow of Joseph Stephen Gilliotti, who died on October 24th.
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late George W. and Ellen Hamilton Hobbs, she was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. She was a graduate of St. Rose High School and the St. Joseph’s School of Nursing, both of Carbondale. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. She enjoyed watching Westerns on TV and painting ceramics. She also liked to research her family’s genealogy.
Surviving are a daughter: Lisa LaPointe and husband Gary, Kennesaw, GA; three sons: Stephen Gilliotti; David Gilliotti; Mathew Gilliotti and fiancée Angel Rukse, all of Carbondale; seven grandchildren: Tyler LaPointe West and husband Clifton; Alec LaPointe; Gabrielle LaPointe; Riely LaPointe; Carter LaPointe; Anthony and Angel Gilliotti; two great grandchildren: Kinley LaPointe and Jude West; and one on the way; two sisters: Sharon Byrnes, Carbondale; Ellen Matone, Blakely; two brothers: George Hobbs, Carbondale; Gerald Hobbs, Newton Lake; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Carol’s life along with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held next July with interment in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill. Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
