Carol Ann Delfino Palko, 78, of Olyphant and formerly of Hawley, died peacefully on Thursday May 23rd, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Carbondale, Carol was the eldest daughter of the late Anthony A. “Duff” and Grace M. Jones Delfino. She was a graduate of St. Rose High School, Carbondale, Class of 1963. She was employed as a seamstress in the garment industry in Carbondale, after which she was a long-time employee of the former K-Mart in Honesdale.
Carol was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who was kind to everyone she met. Her faith and family were most important to her, especially her sisters, daughter, and grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Carol attended Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Peckville. She enjoyed participating in the annual Catholic Charismatic Conference with her family, praying the Rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy. She also enjoyed hobbies, such as reading, playing her guitar & the piano, singing, dancing, and watching westerns.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Ann Palko Gregorowicz and husband Andrew, Jessup; five grandchildren: Andrew, Edward, Matthew, Benjamin, and Grace Gregorowicz; four sisters: Marilyn Kinniry (Steve), Jenkintown; Beverly Dench (Tim), Blakely; Barbara Booths (John Scarfo), Mayfield, Rachelle Serio (John), Archbald; honorary sister Bonnie Poklemba, Blakely; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Frisbie.
The family would like to thank the caring staff of Adventura at Creekside, Carbondale, for their compassionate care during Carol’s final days. They would also like to express their gratitude to Doctors Anthony Freda and David Lohin, for their dedication to Carol’s health over the course of many years.
The funeral will be Friday, May 31st with a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 1101 Willow St., Peckville. Interment, Green Gates Cemetery, Hawley. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 AM until mass time. Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
