Cathy Ann Boshman

Cathy Ann Boshman, 76, of Carbondale, passed away peacefully on Thursday April 23rd at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.  She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Edward J. Boshman.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed for 28 years at the Carbondale Nursing Home.  Cathy enjoyed crocheting, planting flowers, painting ceramics, and being outside in the summer in the pool.  She loved Christmas time and would decorate almost every room in the entire house.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the entire staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart and to Dr. Erin McFadden of the Wright Center for their care and compassion.  A special thank you also goes to Annie Pepson for her compassionate care and to Kelly Durst for always being there for our family. 

Also surviving are her children: Daniel “Danny” Boshman and wife Tina; Lori Tolerico and husband Keith; Kelly White; and Angela Boshman, all of Carbondale. Cathy enjoyed spending time with her seven grandchildren: Jordan and wife Kelsey; Haley; Dylan; Damien; Ethan; Gage; and Alysha; and her great grandson: James Francis.  She is also survived by her sister: Sandra Vidota and husband Edward of Florida.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers: Joseph, Ronnie, Gary, and T.R.

A private visitation and funeral service will be held on Monday April 27th in the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
