Charles J. Ciprian, 64, of Carbondale, died Sunday December 5th. He is survived by his wife, the former Maribeth Coleman.
Born in Scranton, son of the late Charles and Mildred LaMagna Ciprian, he was a member of Saint Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. He was a graduate of Dunmore High School. Prior to his illness, he was employed as a service technician for UGI Utilities. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 2244. He greatly enjoyed baseball and served as a PIAA Umpire. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and New York Giants fan.
Also surviving are three sons: Eric Ciprian, Plains; Gino Ciprian, Lake Ariel; and Michael Ciprian, Dunmore; a sister: Lou Ann Jones and husband Jack, Dalton; a brother: Anthony Ciprian and wife Shirley, Howell, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Ciprian.
The funeral will be Monday December 13th from the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in Saint Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Interment will follow in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill. Friends may call Sunday, from 2 to 4 pm.
