Chassidy Lowe Obituary

Chassidy Lynn Collins Lowe, 38, of Beach Lake, passed away quietly Monday in her childhood home in Vandling, surrounded by her husband, family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Steven Lowe; the couple would have been married two years on June 25.

She is the specially chosen daughter of Thomas and Sharon Snarcavage Collins of Vandling and is survived by both of her parents; and her four siblings, Susan Collins SanMartin and her husband, Barry, of Vandling; Carrie Snellings and her husband, Rick, of Fredericksburg, Va.; Thomas Collins and his wife, Kelly, of Vandling; and Deborah Cerrillo and her husband, Gabriel, of Ruther Glen, Va. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces, including Michael Lautenschlager and Matthew Lautenschlager, with whom she grew up.

She will always be dearly missed by her family and extended family of friends, especially Bonnie Crossman Race and Marci Goodman; and her beloved cat, Jeter and her dog, Patches.

Chassidy enjoyed sports, especially her much-loved Yankees, and nature, especially frogs and butterflies, often raising them through their stages of life. She also loved fishing. She volunteered at the Forest City Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Forest City for 18 years. She will always be remembered for her compassion, kindness and thoughtfulness.

The family would like to express our gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at Cedar Crest Lehigh Valley Hospital, especially the nurses and staff of 7C surgery and oncology, the nurses and staff of the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, and all the family and friends who supported her in her final days.

The funeral will be Friday in the Tabernacle Bible Church, 455 Grove St., Honesdale, with services at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart.

Friends may call Thursday, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main St., Forest City, and Friday at the church from 9 until service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hackerman-Patz House at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, 1260 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown, PA 18105.
