Christopher R. Biglin, 56, of Carbondale, died Sunday December 2nd at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Phillips.
Born in Newark, NJ, son of the late William and Francine Dubey Shumaker, he was a graduate of JFK High School, Islin, NJ. Prior to his illness, he was employed in the construction and carpentry industry. He was an active member of the Carbondale Area Band Parents Association.
Also surviving are four sons: Jeffery Gibbons, New York; John Michael Kraynik, Olyphant; Brandon J. Biglin, Olyphant; Shane Thomas Phillips, Carbondale; four daughters: Kaitlyn Biglin, Carbondale; Bri-Anna Biglin, Eynon; Alena Marie Phillips, Carbondale; Kylah Jade Biglin, Carbondale; 14 grandchildren; three brothers: David, Honesdale; Jim, Ocala, FL; Billy, New Jersey; four sisters: Dorraine Merlen, Dickson City; Dorrinda Kole, Lawrence Harbor, NJ; Betty Denney and Barbara Shumaker, both of Old Bridge, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Friday December 7th in the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale, with a blessing service at 3:30 pm. Spring interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill. Friends may call Friday, from 2 to 4 pm.
