Debra Irene Doyle, 71, of Scott Township, died Friday June 19th at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.
Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Ira and Irene Kaszuba Doyle. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the Cintas Corp., Olyphant. Deb loved her cats Jackson, Ella and Autumn, and would find great joy in their companionship and the comfort they brought to her every day. She took pride in crocheting afghans for every one of her family members who will forever treasure the warmth and love woven into every stitch.
After moving to the country several years ago, she would spend hours on the front porch swing waiting for wildlife to pass by. She especially enjoyed seeing the birds, deer, turkeys, and bear that frequented her yard. She treasured those quiet moments and the serenity they brought her.
Surviving are a brother: Frederick Doyle and wife Ann Mary, Archbald; two nieces: Jaime Vannan and husband Alan, Archbald; Kelly Szezorak and husband Eugene, Scranton; two grand nephews: James Doyle Vannan and Alexander Vincent Vannan; and two grand nieces: Margaret Grace Szezorak and Millie Anne Szezorak. In addition to her family she is survived by her best friend Cindy Scoville whose friendship she cherished.
The funeral will be Wednesday, June 24th in the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale, with services at 11 am by Pastor Don Perry. Private interment, Prospect Hill Cemetery, Peckville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 am until service time.
