Delores "Dee" Simmons

Delores “Dee” Simmons, 76, of Carbondale, died Thursday October 28th at the Carbondale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Herrick Center, daughter of the late Thomas and Jennie Sapudar Simmons, she was a graduate of Forest City Regional High School.  She is survived by her sisters: Loretta Loche, Rexford, NY; and Agnes Johns, Binghamton, NY; and several nieces and nephews.  Delores was stricken with diabetes at a very early age.  With a “heart of gold”, she always wanted to help others.

A special thank you goes to the Carbondale Nursing Home, where the nurses and even visitors treated Delores like family for over ten years. As per her request, there will be no viewing and burial will take place at a later date in Saint Agnes Cemetery, Forest City.  Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
