Donna H. Sweeney

Donna H. Sweeney, 72, of Browndale, died Monday February 27th at the Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale.  She was the widow of Curtis M. Sweeney, who died January 19, 2014.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late John and Margaret Anderson Vallario, she attended Ascension Parish, Forest City.  Prior to retirement, she had been employed as a teller for the Community Bank and Trust Company, Forest City.  She had been previously employed by the Ames Shower Curtain Factory, Forest City.  Donna enjoyed playing bingo at the William Penn Apartments.  She was an avid reader and was a big fan of soap operas, especially General Hospital.

Surviving are two sons: Curtis Sweeney and wife Holly, Archbald; Timothy Sweeney and wife Michelle, Thompson; a daughter: Debra Owens, Waymart; 14 grandchildren: Corey, Kaitlyn, Ashley, Alyssa, Meghan, Timothy, Jr., Hope, Emilee, Davon, Riley, Ryan, Jaxon, Aiden, and Addison; one great grandchild: Luca Heiser; a brother: John Vallario, Rohnert Park, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Monday March 6th with a blessing service at 1 pm in the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.  Interment, Union Dale Cemetery.  Friends may call on Monday, from 11 am until service time.
