Evelyn Catanzaro

Evelyn Catanzaro, 82, of Carbondale, died Tuesday November 29th at home.

Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Louis and Mary Russo Catanzaro, she was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale.  Prior to retirement, she was employed at a local car dealership as a greeter. Evelyn wanted to spend her final days surrounded by her family at the home of her devoted big sister, Ann Sudlesky. They truly were the “Golden Girls.” No one could fight with Evelyn EXCEPT her sister. At the same time, no one babied or spoiled her more. Evelyn had a passion for bingo. She loved playing cards with her sister and niece and nephew. Her love for her children and grandchildren was endless. Not a day went by that she didn't think of them. One of her favorite things to say to her grandchildren was "I love you to the moon and back" . Those words meant a lot to them. She may be gone and at peace but she will never be forgotten. We all love you to the moon and back always and forever in our hearts.

Surviving are five children: Billy Kleinbauer and wife Hope, Archbald; Jackie Kleinbauer and wife Valerie, Archbald; Donna Warholic and husband John, Jessup; Jeff Kleinbauer and wife Cathy, Lynn Haven, FL; Paula Mull and husband Justin, Northumberland; ten grandchildren: John, Jr.; Sheena; Candi; Jason; Kelsea; Jordan; Kateri; Lynzie; Kendra; Michael; ten great grandchildren: Johne; Adler; Korbin; Nevaeh; Jaylynn; Jade; Skye; Raine; Isla; Laney; a sister: Ann Sudlesky, Carbondale; two brothers: Frank Catanzaro and wife Linda, Carbondale; Larry Catanzaro and wife Mabel, Childs; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday December 2nd at 1:30 pm at the Chapel at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill with interment to follow.  Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
