Francis Patrick Dougher, 76, of Carbondale, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 3, 2025 with his devoted companion of 28 years, Mary Lou Lloyd, by his side.

Born in Carbondale, Francis was the son of the late William and Genevieve Kerl Dougher. He was a lifelong member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish in Carbondale, and he worked as a machinist for R&A Manufacturing in Dalton until his retirement. Known for his love of the outdoors, he was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper who also took great pride in woodworking.

Francis is survived by his former spouse, Pam Dougher, as well as their children, David, Travis, and Jennifer Dougher; along with Mary Lou’s children: Michelle Lloyd, Rachel Rohrbach, Brandy Lloyd, and Eugene Lloyd, all of Carbondale; Erin Lloyd of Simpson; Katelynn Lloyd of Virginia; and Michael Lloyd of Spring Brook. He is also survived by his sister, Margaret Jane Dougher of Carbondale, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Dougher, and his sister, Lorraine Connell.

A blessing service will be held on Saturday, January 11th at 10 am in the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 am until service time.
