Francis J. “Frank” Zimorowicz, Jr., 81, of Carbondale, died Saturday November 1st at the Forest City Nursing Center. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, the former Marianne Price.
Born in Scranton, son of the late Frank and Mary Gosk Zimorowicz, he was a member of Saint Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. He was a graduate of Lakeland High School. Frank was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a member of the American Legion Post 610, Mayfield. He was employed at Lapera’s Service Station, Carbondale. He was previously employed at Cinram Manufacturing, Olyphant, and at the Trane Company, Dunmore.
Also surviving are a daughter: Sara Kerl and husband William, Jr., Simpson; four grandsons: Billy Kerl; Ryan Kerl; Brad Kerl and fiancée Kourtney; Parker Kerl; two great grandchildren: RyLynn and River Kerl; a brother: Richard Zimorowicz and wife Marilyn, Eynon; a sister: Nancy Kerpchar and husband Greg, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a niece: Jennifer Jones.
The funeral will be Friday, November 7th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Interment will follow at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill. Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
