Frank Beblo Obituary

Frank A. Beblo, 89, of Forest City, died peacefully on Thursday at Geisinger CMC surrounded by his family.  His wife, the former Rose Volk, died in 1999.


Born in Union Dale, son of the late Michael and Mary Crandal Bibalo, he attended Ascension Parish, Forest City and was educated in Union Dale Schools.  He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War; he was awarded the Purple Heart and was disabled from the wounds he suffered.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 524, Forest City.   Prior to retirement, he was employed as a carpenter and cabinet maker for the Triangle Pacific Company, Carbondale.  He later worked at the EJ Shoe Factory and the Ames Shower Curtain Factory, Forest City.  He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, Local 645, Scranton.  Frank enjoyed playing guitar, spending time with his family, fishing, and working in his work shop building bird houses and painting.  He often enjoyed just sitting on the porch outside.  He also liked playing the lottery and doing crossword puzzles. 


The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at CMC for the care and medical attention that was given during Frank’s stay at CMC.


Surviving are four daughters: Dorina Meszler and husband Terry, Forest City; Theresa Andrews and husband Donald, RD Forest City; Patricia Bean and husband Kenneth, Forest City; Paula Karwan and husband Chris, Vandling; 13 grandchildren; 19 Great grandchildren; two brothers: Philip Bibalo, Carbondale; Albert Bibalo, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.


He was also preceded in death by 6 brothers: Paul, Michael, John, Stanley, Joseph, and David Bibalo; and a half sister: Dorthy Bedren.


The funeral will be Monday in the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City with a blessing service at 10 am.  Interment with military honors will follow in Saint Agnes Cemetery, Forest City.  Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 pm.
