Frederick A. Deemer, Jr.

Frederick A. Deemer, Jr., 70, of Scranton, died August 12th at the Regional Hospital of Scranton.

Born in Somerville, NJ, son of the late Frederick A., Sr. and Amy L. Sargent Deemer, he was a graduate of Hunterdon Central High School, Class of 1969.  After graduation, he enlisted in the New Jersey National Guard, serving until 1977.  During his career, Fred worked and managed various restaurants and was known as a great cook.  He relocated to Scranton several years ago to be closer to family.

Surviving are a sister: Lois Ormsby and husband Richard, Browndale; an aunt; Cynthia Grube, Englewood, Florida; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Private funeral services were held and interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ.  Arrangements by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
