Gary Druhl Obituary

Gary C. Druhl, 55, of Pleasant Mount, died Saturday November 23rd at the Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale.  He is survived by his wife, the former Tracy Gardjulis, a son, Gary M. Druhl (23) of Winter Garden, FL ,and a daughter, Jessica A. Druhl (9) at home.

Born in Bayshore, NY, son of the late Gary and Patricia McDonough Druhl, he was a member of Saint Katharine Drexel Parish, Pleasant Mount.  He was a graduate of Brentwood High School, Brentwood, NY; and All- State Career School.  Prior to his illness, he was a truck driver, spending the majority of his career with J.B. Hunt; he was proud of being a Million Mile Trucker, driving a million miles without any infractions.  Gary enjoyed all sports, especially the NY Jets.  He also relished his coaching years in soccer and baseball.  His hobbies included hunting, fishing, boating, and racing; whether he was driving or watching, you could find him at the Penn-Can Speedway on Friday nights.

Also surviving are two sisters: Deborah A. Rogers and husband Ed, South Windsor, CT; Doreen Riggs and husband Brian, Huntington, Long Island; a brother-in-law: Tom Gardjulis and wife Jane, Forest City; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Saturday November 30th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. James Church, Pleasant Mount.  Interment, St. John’s Cemetery, Richmondale.  Friends may call Friday, from 4 to 6 pm at the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main St., Forest City, and on Saturday morning at the church from 9:30 am until mass time.
