Hubert J. Blatnik

Hubert J. Blatnik, 97, of Forest City, died Thursday, December 13th at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, after an illness.
Born in Forest City, the son of the late Ignatz  and Frances Tornich Blatnik, he was a member of Accession Parish, Forest City, and a graduate of the Forest City High School. Before his retirement, he worked for General Motors in New Jersey and was also a member on the United Auto Workers retiree.
Surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters: Mary Cummings and Frances Grablutz; 1 brother: Carol Blatnik; and his fiancée: Antoinette Bock.
The funeral will be Monday, December 17th with a blessing service at 10 a.m. in the Jones and Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main St., Forest City. Interment will be in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill. Friends may call Monday from 9 a.m. until service time
