Joann P. Hunter, 75, of Scranton, died Friday February 17th at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton.
Born in New York City, daughter of the late John and Anna Prinetti Imperiale, she was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and she attended the University of Phoenix. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed at Specialty Records/ WEA Manufacturing, Olyphant; for several years, she was also a van driver for school kids. Joann was an avid New York Yankees fan.
Surviving are a daughter: Tina Hunter Conway and husband Shawn, Elmhurst Twp.; two sons: Brian Hunter and wife Tammy, Carbondale; Jason Hunter, Texas; 3 granddaughters; 5 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law: Bernadette Imperiale, Carbondale; and several nieces and nephews, including her niece, Ann Marie Torch and husband William, Simpson, who compassionately took care of Joann.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers: John, Carmine “Buddy”, and Michael Imperiale.
As per her request, private funeral services were held. Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
