John L. Bohlig, Sr. Obituary

John L. Bohlig, Sr., 82, of Greenfield Twp., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday October 12th.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Yvonne Coleman Bohlig, who died October 31, 2009.

Born in New York, NY, son of the late Douglas and Della Connelly Bohlig, he was a member of Saint Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale.  John held many different jobs throughout his career, but he loved spending time with his family and tinkering on anything in the garage.



The family would like to send a special thank you to Wayne Memorial Wound Care, Cottage Hose Ambulance, Dr. Tamrat Bekele and his staff, and Allied Home Hospice for the compassionate care given to John.



Surviving are two sons: John L. Bohlig, Jr. and wife Laura, Carbondale; Joseph Caviston, Jr. and wife Michelle, Carbondale; two daughters: Mary Bohlig, Carbondale; Joan Marie Curtis and husband Tom, Hamlin; eight grandchildren: Joseph Caviston, III; Bridget Heskell; Clare Kerl; William J. Kerl, Jr.; Brooke Caviston; Erin Schaepe; Declan Caviston; and John L. Bohlig, III; a sister: Margaret Bohlig, New Jersey; and several great grandchildren and cousins.



The funeral will be Tuesday October 18th from the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale.  Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Mausoleum, Finch Hill.  Friends may call Monday, from 4 to 7 pm.
