John and Carol raised their young family in Carbondale and Newton Lake in the 1970s and 80s, later living in Absecon, NJ for twenty years. John, always outgoing and friendly, worked in Scranton and in New Jersey in the life insurance, auto sales, and banking fields. John and Carol retired to his hometown of Carbondale in 2004. John was an avid reader who enjoyed history, family genealogy, and politics. John was a lifelong Eagles and Phillies fan. His driving focus was his devotion to his wife and his four children. John delighted in being a grandfather to his seven grandchildren. He will be missed greatly.
