Born in Peckville, son of the late John and Jo Ann Supancik Kovaleski, he was a member of Ascension Parish, Forest City.  He was a 1978 graduate of Carbondale Area High School.  John was a technician for Lockheed Martin by trade and loved to share his knowledge of electronics, known to family as “Gadget” and “Kill’r”. He loved hunting and fishing and shared that bond with his family for many years. John was a family man and loved spending time with his family and those friends who he considered to be family.  John was always good to make you laugh and bring a smile to anyone’s face. The life of the party, he loved to share his music along with a beer.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Geisinger Community Medical Center of Scranton for the care they provided during John’s illness; and to the family and friends who he cherished.

In addition to his wife Sandy, also surviving are two daughters: Sara Stafford and son in law Chris of Jefferson Twp.; and Kasey Kovaleski of Browndale, who were the apples of his eyes.
