John A. Repko, 74, of Jessup and formerly of Carbondale, died Wednesday, July 17th at home.
Born in Carbondale, he was the son of the late John Repko and Anthony and Joan Sheare Repko Turonis. He was a 1967 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an ASP Training Supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service. John was also a member of the American Postal Workers Union.
Surviving are his daughters: Kendra Lee Repko, Scranton; Jonelle Langer and her husband Adam, Portland OR; and Victoria Repko Ruggiero and her husband Dominic, Clarks Summit; a sister: Judith Parks, Clarks Summit; and a granddaughter: Emily Burke, Estero FL; also several cousins, including Janice Goodwin, Archbald.
The funeral will be Thursday September 5th in the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale with services at 5 pm by Rev. William McGinty. Private interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill. Friends may call Thursday from 4pm until service time.
