Obituary

John N. Rhodes, 82, of Carbondale, died Friday February 3rd, at Aventura at Creekside Nursing Home, Carbondale.

Born in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Robert N. and M. Loretta Faatz Rhodes. John was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carbondale. He was a graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and a veteran of the United States Army. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by several resorts in the Catskills.

Surviving are a niece and a nephew and several cousins.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Judy Stankus.

The funeral will be Wednesday February 8th with services at 11 am in the Brennan and Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale to be celebrated by Rev. Fred Snyder, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Carbondale. Spring interment will be in Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart. Friends may call Wednesday from 10 am until service time.
