Joseph R. Curcerello, 80, of Carbondale, died Monday April 14th after a lengthy illness.

Born in Carbondale, son of the late Concesso and Angelina Dick Curcerello, he was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Carbondale.  He was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale.  Prior to retirement, he was employed as a line cook for Zazzera’s Sweet Shop, Salko’s Sweet Shop, and Katie’s Sweet Shop.

Surviving are three brothers: Michael Curcerello, Falls; Gerard Curcerello, Scranton; Carmino Curcerello, Carbondale, several nieces and nephews; and a dear friend and caregiver, Mary Daniels, Carbondale.

As per his request, cremation services were held.  Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
