Josephine S. Lavin, 85, of Vandling, died Saturday May 4th at Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart.  She was the widow of Thomas F. Lavin, who died July 29, 2017.

Born in South Canaan, daughter of the late Alexander and Eveia Enslin Seeley, she was a graduate of Waymart High School.  She was a loving homemaker to her family, and she also worked at Kotz Underwear Factory, Honesdale.

Surviving are a grandson: Matthew Tomazic, Waymart; a son-in-law: Paul Tomazic, Clifford Twp.; two sisters: Joan Marsh, Bethany; Betty Mae Miller, South Canaan; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Catherine J. Tomazic; and a brother: Richard Seeley.

As per her request, private funeral services will be held with interment in East Canaan Cemetery.  Arrangements by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
