Judith Antoinette Scheller

Judith Antoinette Scheller, 82, died Monday in the beautiful place she loved most, her home on Browndale Mountain. Her devoted husband of 42 years is Thomas J. Scheller, who never left her side during their many years of love together.

Born in Browndale, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Ravnikar Tengowski.  Judi was a member of Saint Joseph’s Church of Ascension Parish, Forest City where she was a dedicated member of the choir, bringing that same joy of music and singing to her loving daughter, Mary. Judi was a graduate of Forest City Regional High School and then received her degree in Accounting at Keystone College. She was also a member of the Republican Women’s Group of Wayne County. Judi enjoyed working in her beautiful garden every day tending to her flowers, and was a member of the local garden club. Judi's devotion to her animals was extraordinary. She loved and cared for all of her dogs, cats and horses on the mountain as family members. Prior to her retirement, Judi was employed as the accountant and secretary for the family business, Pioneer Precision Parts, Browndale.

Also surviving are her daughter: Mary Frances Scheller, Browndale; 3 step-sons: Thomas, Jason and Adam Scheller; 6 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and cousins; and also several relatives in Slovenia that she loved very much.

The funeral will be Wednesday, July 22, 2026, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in Saint Joseph’s Church, 739  Delaware  Street, Forest City. Interment, Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, Forest City. Friends may call at the church Wednesday from 9:30 am until mass time. Arrangements by the Jones and Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
