Kassandra Caila Elizabeth Custard, 24, of Union Dale, died Tuesday August 16th at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center along with her son James Foster Smith, as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident on State Route 171 in Clifford Twp.  She is survived by her fiance, Christopher Smith of Union Dale.

Born in Honesdale, daughter of John and Christine Parry Custard, she was a member of Saint Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale.  She was a graduate of Carbondale Area High School.  She was currently employed as a Lead Staff at Keystone Community Resources.

Also surviving are a son, Liam, at home; a sister: Ashley Custard-Allen and husband Christopher, Lake Ariel; two brothers: James Custard and fiance Paige Frazier; and Brandon Custard, all of Carbondale; a half sister: Janice Custard-Lazarchick and husband Brian, Owings, MD; maternal grandmother: Phyllis Parry, Lake Ariel; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather: Edmund Parry; and paternal grandparents: James and Genevieve Custard.

The funeral will be Monday, August 22nd with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale.  Interment will follow in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.  Friends may call Monday morning at the church, from 9 am until mass time.  Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
