Kaylee L. Matone, 21, of Blakely, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 8th. Sadly she lost her fight with addiction.
Born in Scranton, daughter of Desiree (Daisy) Opeil, Carbondale and the late Jason Matone, and step-daughter of Rich Cobb, Thompson, she attended St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City. She was a graduate of Mid-Valley High School. Kaylee always had a soft place in her heart for babies, and a special love for animals, especially her dog Apache (Pach). She loved her DD Runs and listening to her music. She is deeply loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed.
Also surviving are her sister: Bonnie (Bon Bon) Cobb, Carbondale; her brother: Alex Heise, Massillon, OH; grandparents: Phillip and Ellen Hobbs Matone, Blakely; Peggy Price; aunts: Jessica Matone Davailus; Amber; Rhea; Brooke; Susie; Jaime; Mandy; Kami; Fawn; an uncle: John; and her godson: LJ.
She was also preceded in death by an uncle, Phillip Matone; and a grandfather: Joseph Zwicharowski.
The funeral will be Thursday, from the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Mary's Visitation Church, Dickson City. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill. Friends may call Wednesday, from 4 to 7 pm.
