Kenneth Nadzak Obituary

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Kenneth Leon Nadzak on April 12, 2023.

Son of the late Leo and Frances Nash Nadzak, he was a graduate of David Brearley High School in Kenilworth, NJ prior to attending Bentley College and earning his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University.  Before his retirement, Ken worked for numerous companies over the years including several at the same time.  He was tireless, relentless, and extremely proud of his work experience because he wished to provide a better life for his two children.  In 1997, Ken moved his family to Florida to begin the next phase of his journey through life and continued to pursue countless employment opportunities, often at the expense of his own well-being.  Since 1989, Ken also owned and managed numerous homes in Central Florida and New Jersey, fulfilling his dream of “splitting time” between the two states he loved so dearly.  Anyone who interacted with Ken quickly experienced his devotion to family and friends, sense of humor, dedication to his cats, work ethic and passion for life.  In his later years, Ken traveled, attended concerts and spent valuable time with those who loved him most.  Ken had several guiding philosophies, none more important to him than the belief that “a father’s work is never done.”  Ken’s remaining family members have spent the last several days fulfilling some of his final wishes, being guided by the hope that he knows how dearly he is missed, how appreciated he was and how loved he will always be.  Although he is gone from this world, his work will never be done though now he can rest more at peace.

Ken (Dad) is survived by his ex-wife: Carol; son: Kenny and his wife, Jen; daughter: Cheryl and her husband, David; step-son: Mike and his wife Jung (and their daughter, Hanna); and a granddaughter, Waverly Clara Nadzak.

The funeral will be Friday April 21st from the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City, with funeral liturgy at 11:30 am in Saint John’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 306 Susquehanna St., Forest City.  Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Forest City.   Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning, from 9:30 am to 11 am.
