Obituary

Laddie Allen Gribick, 90, of Thompson, died Saturday June 24th at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Margot Schueler, who died in 2020.

Born in New Brunswick, NJ, son of the late Louis and Rose Szenas Gribick, he was a graduate of the Middlesex County Vocational and Technical School, Perth Amboy, NJ.  He received his Bachelors Degree in Industrial Arts Education from Trenton State College and his Masters Degree from Indiana State Teachers College.  He was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War, serving aboard the USS Cadmus, a naval repair ship.  Prior to retirement, he was employed as a Industrial Arts and Sheet Metal Instructor for Middlesex County Vocational and Technical School.  He was very proud of his Hungarian heritage.  Laddie enjoyed working with his hands, especially construction; one of his biggest accomplishments was building his own home in the country. He also loved to do metal work, especially sculpting various eccentric characters that he displayed on his property.

Laddie is survived by his friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be held with interment at Lake Nelson Memorial Park, Piscataway, NJ.  Arrangements are through the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
