Lee Tonkin, 46, of Simpson, died unexpectedly on Wednesday April 6th at home.
Born in Carbondale, son of Pham Thi Y (“E” Tonkin) and Robert Tonkin, of Carbondale, he was a graduate of Carbondale Area High School, Class of 1993. He was employed as an inspector for the Lockheed Martin Corporation, Archbald. He was an avid Seattle Seahawks fan. Lee greatly enjoyed golfing, going to amusement parks, sightseeing, and attending concerts, especially with his daughter Atheana by his side. She truly was the apple of his eye and brought him tremendous joy, pride, and happiness. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are a daughter: Atheana Tonkin, Forest City; a brother: Robert Tonkin, Jr.; a sister: Kelly Grausgruber, Bradenton, FL; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
The funeral will be Wednesday April 13th, with services at 11 am by Pastor Donald Perry, in the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill. Friends may call Tuesday, from 4 to 6 pm.
