Lottie “Lucy” Pepson, 67, of Forest City, died Wednesday March 17th at Allied Services Hospice, Scranton after an illness. She is survived by her companion, Michael Kane.
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Ambrose and Joan White Yacinovich, she attended St. Michael’s Church, Simpson. She was a graduate of Fell Township High School. Prior to her illness, she was employed in several area factories, most recently Bibalo's Pierogies, Simpson. Lucy loved animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed going to the casino, browsing through yard sales, and going fishing. She was a fan of the Goodyear Blimp, often taking trips to see it as it passed through the area. One of her favorite experiences was getting the opportunity to take a flight on the Goodyear Blimp in New York State after winning a contest. Lucy was a very loving and kind hearted person who would do anything for anyone.
Also surviving are two brothers: Michael Yacinovich and wife Rose, Simpson; Robert Yacinovich and wife Lisa, Waymart; a sister: Sharon Conarton and companion Jonathan Day, Whites Crossing; several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and great nephews; a great great niece; and several cousins.
The funeral will be Sunday, March 21st in the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City with a blessing service at 3:30 pm. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Sunday, from 2 to 4 pm.
