Margaret H. Fitzgerald, 57, of Simpson, died Monday June 16th at home surrounded by her loving family after an illness.  She is survived by her husband, James Fitzgerald.

Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Sally Dearie Bruce, she attended St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale.  She was a graduate of Carbondale Area High School.  Prior to her illness, she was a private duty nurse’s aide, and she previously worked at Just Believe Recovery Center, Carbondale.  She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and going on shopping trips.

Also surviving are a daughter:  Megan Fitzgerald, Carbondale; three grandchildren: Kayden Fitzgerald; Sophia DeGrazia; Blake Fitzgerald; a brother: John “Peppy” Bruce, Simpson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral will be Friday June 20th with a blessing service at 4 pm in the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.  Friends may call Friday, from 2 pm until service time.
