Margaret Delores Prezelski, 87, of Herrick Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 7th, after a brief illness. She was a loving mother, and the devoted wife of Walter J. Prezelski, Jr., who preceded her in death in 2005.

Born in Herrick Twp., Margaret was the daughter of the late Leo and Kathryn Gorel Gosciewski. She was a faithful member of Ascension Parish, Forest City, and a graduate of Pleasant Mount High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Sears in the Viewmont Mall.  She had been previously employed at Casket Shells, Inc., Archbald, and the Endicott-Johnson Shoe Factory, Forest City. Margaret had a passion for gardening, cultivating a bountiful garden and always adorning her home with fresh flowers. Her greatest joy, however, was found in her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply.

Margaret is survived by her loving sons: Richard Prezelski and wife Allison of Pottsville, and David Prezelski and wife Jennifer of Mountain Top; her grandchildren: Kayla, Chloe, Matthew, Noah, and Nathaniel Prezelski; her brother Joseph Gosciewski of Union Dale; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her son Walter Prezelski, III, and brothers Leo and John Gosciewski and sister Joan Smith.

The funeral will be held on Saturday from the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 pm at Saint Joseph’s Church, Delaware St., Forest City. Interment will follow at Saint Anthony’s Cemetery, Forest City. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home from 10:30 am to 12 noon.
