Margaret A. Sample, 92, of Vandling, died Friday October 30th at the Forest City Nursing Center. She was the widow of Walter Sample who died February 24, 1993.
Born on November 2, 1927 in Simpson, daughter of the late John and Anna Kovach Tarhanich, she was a member of Ascension Parish, Forest City. She was a graduate of Fell High School. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and the Golden Age Club of Simpson.
Surviving are a son: John Sample and wife Marlene, Vandling; two daughters: Patricia Prince and husband Thomas, Vandling; Diane Ward and husband Kenneth, Vandling; four grandchildren: Thomas Prince; Colleen Sullivan; Jacquelyn Brown; David Sample; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Tarhanich.
The funeral will be Tuesday, November 3rd with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Joseph’s Church, Delaware St., Forest City. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Simpson. Friends may call at the church from 9 am until mass time. Arrangements by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
